First Aid Kit for Dogs and Cats

Content

First aid kits (at home, in the car) help you react quickly in emergencies. Ready-made kits for dogs and cats are available commercially. Your veterinarian will also be happy to help you put together a kit. Choose a sturdy bag, a sturdy box, or a commercially available first aid bag for your dog or cat. When assembling the kit, consider your dog’s specific needs. Ask your veterinarian for help to make any special additions for your dog or cat. Store the bag at home separately from your own medications, but within easy reach. It is advisable to also keep such a bag in your car if you frequently have your pet with you in the car or when you travel.
